Greg Rosen

Director, Public Policy

Greg advises across sectors including energy, justice, financial services and transport at national and devolved levels. He founded Newington’s energy practice, leading successful campaigns for clients to amend the Energy Act 2013 to secure a route to market for independent generators, and to change the Energy Act 2016 to ensure proposed grace periods more fairly protected investors following the early closure of the Renewables Obligation.

Greg joined Newington after spells working in government, as a senior strategist in Whitehall, and subsequently as Head of Media Strategy for the Mayor of London’s London Development Agency. A frequent political commentator, his publications include three books on British politics and political columns for the Daily Telegraph, Guardian and Scotsman. He is a Consultant Director at think tank Reform, Chair of the Labour History Group and was formerly the Vice-Chair of the Fabian Society and a Visiting Fellow in Politics at Goldsmiths, University of London.
