Event: Sustainable development on the Thames

Event: Sustainable development on the Thames

With London’s population rapidly increasing (projected figures estimating 11 million by 2050), the question of where to deliver homes, employment, transport, energy, healthcare, education and a range of other services grows ever more important. One area under pressure to deliver this is the River Thames; a prime area for development as already showcased by the immense development taking place at Nine Elms, Battersea and at Canary Wharf.

Phil Briscoe, Managing Director at Newington, will be speaking on the relationship and importance of politics in the planning process and future development on the River Thames at the Thames Estuary Partnership event “Sustainable development on the Thames.” The event, to be held at Mary Ward House, 5-7 Tavistock Place, WC1H 9SN on Wednesday 16 November, 09.00 - 17.00, will be also examine issues around rapid and extensive development on the Thames.

Registration starts at 09.00 with an opportunity to network and meet the exhibitors, followed by morning and afternoon themed discussions, and finishing with a drinks reception from 16.00 - 17.00. A hot lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Discounts for this popular event are currently available; please see here for further information and to book your ticket.
