On 16 September, three of Newington’s consultants battled stormy conditions to complete a vertigo-inducing abseil down Broadgate Tower. Pavitar Mann, Chris Ricôt and Kate Bramson have raised over £1,000 so far for LandAid’s ‘TowerAthlon’ challenge. The third ever TowerAthlon saw adventurers from across the industry complete a series of physical challenges, including an abseil down the 539ft tower, an 877-stair run and a ten-minute cycle race. Newington hosted a pub quiz as part of their fundraising activities, attracting teams from across the property industry, which helped to double their original target. Having stormed the abseil, Newington is now planning more events ahead of LandAid Day on 13 October.
LandAid is the property industry’s charity aimed at ending youth homelessness. This year the charity is looking to raise £80,000 towards creating new accommodation for young people in London. For more information or to make a donation, you can visit the team’s page here.
