A lack of awareness and understanding, discovered by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), led to serious flaws in mental health policy. We brought together leading organisations in the sector to make the case for change.
Global health and social care training provider the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) sought assistance in creating understanding of how better regulation and guidance could lead to more effective outcomes for patients and practitioners.
We worked with CPI to develop a network of advocates across, politics, the Civil Service, third sector and the wider health and social care industry to make the case for change. This included setting up the Restraint Reduction Network, organising an annual two day conference focused on practical and policy solutions, and managing a wide ranging engagement programme.
An established network of advocates now promotes the issue and its solutions across politics, the media and the sector more broadly, as we continue to work with policymakers to bring forward effective solutions. The annual conference is now one of the most prominent features in the sector’s calendar, attracting international speakers and delegates.
