Newington is delighted to have been shortlisted six times, across four categories, for the prestigious Public Affairs Awards taking place next month. This includes consultancy of the year, and being shortlisted twice for consultancy campaign of the year.

Newington has been shortlisted in the following awards categories:

• Consultancy of the year
• Consultancy campaign of the year (shortlisted twice) - for work with the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association (LTDA), and on the Octopus Energy Price Cap Campaign. Newington's work with the LTDA focussed on changing perceptions, building constructive relationships with varied stakeholders, and securing a favourable regulatory environment for taxis.  The Octopus Energy Price Cap Campaign, meanwhile, put Octopus at the centre of the growing debate on energy prices, pushing for regulatory change through an energy price cap.
• Best in-house consultancy collaboration with Just Eat for the launch of a new umbrella body representing the takeaway industry - the British Takeaway Campaign
• Billy Taylor and Sarah Ward have both been shortlisted for consultant of the year. Billy has helped to lead Newington's expansion into the East of England by setting up an office in Chelmsford. His experience covers Green Belt planning applications, shopping centre regeneration schemes and office developments, as well as energy from waste and onshore wind. Sarah specialises in managing stakeholder consultations and political communications campaigns as well as managing media activity at a local, trade and national level. She is currently leading an integrated media campaign for central London’s largest proposed mixed-use scheme.

The Public Affairs Awards take place on 14 December in London.
