Ashfield voted 70 per cent in favour of leaving the EU in the 2016 referendum, making it a prime target for the Brexit Party, but also the Tories.
The Brexit Party held a general election campaign tour event in Ashfield last week. Whilst Nigel Farage has stood down candidates in Tory-held seats, he is yet to do so in marginals so this is a seat that could demonstrate how the Brexit Party will take votes off both Labour and the Tories and therefore influence the outcome.
